Ontology Specification Draft

Abstract

DCRI-ont-spe specialises DCRI-ont with classes, properties and individuals about specific categories of interventions options. At this version the model contains special classes, properties and individuals related to intervention options of i) cleaning superficial deposits and ii) consolidation of flaking of gouache artworks. The ontology directly imports DCRI-ont and DCRI-voc. The ontology indirectly imports SKOS, CIDOC CRM, CRMsci and CRMntp.

The DCRI-ont-spe, directly imports DCRI-ont [http://w3id.org/dcri-ont] and DCRI-voc [http://w3id.org/dcri-ont/vocabulary] and indirectly imports CIDOC CRM (FORTH-ICS, version 6.2.1) [https://cidoc-crm.org/sites/default/files/cidoc_crm_v6.2.1-2018April.rdfs], CRMsci (FORTH-ICS, version 1.2.6) [https://cidoc-crm.org/crmsci/sites/default/files/CRMsci_v1.2.6.rdfs], CIDOC CRM extension about typed properties and negative typed properties [https://github.com/linked-conservation-data/crmntp], and SKOS [https://www.w3.org/2009/08/skos-reference/skos.html]. This special module extends DCRI-ont with classes and properties required for two case studies: i) the cleaning of superficial deposits and ii) the consolidation of painting gouache. It also includes the individuals related to the case studies which constitute the A-box knowledge of the model, i.e., the individuals of the different plans, supplies, options, intrinsic requirements.

DCRI-ont-spe: Description back to ToC

The DCRI-ont-spe was developed following the HCOME collaborative engineering methodology, supported by Protege 5.5 (for personal space engineering), and WebProtégé (for shared space engineering), respectively. In addition, Google Docs and Google Meet were used for further collaborative engineering tasks. An example of the individuals of an intervention option of a decision-making issue is presented in the following screenshot.
